EWI lessons include guidance in setup, synthesis, MIDI and sound design. Once your instrument sounds and responds correctly we can focus on music lessons which include reading music, phrasing, technique and improvisation.
Students of all ages are welcome.
I started playing electronic wind instruments in 1989 with the Yamaha WX7 wind controller. I have also played Yamaha's WX11 and WX5 controllers and now play the Akai EWI 4000s exclusively.

Wind controller is a favorite instrument, I first started playing Yamaha's WX models in'89 and now play Akai's flexible and expressive EWI 4000s.
EWI lessons can include equipment up and optimization with emphasis on improvisation, reading and music theory.
The EWI requires very little embouchure control - making it easy to create interesting and fun sounds very early in the process.
Embouchure is about training the muscles in face and lips to blow a wind instrument. Saxophone and wind instrument players develop their embouchure over time.
