New Teaching Gig
I have been teaching at The Corral Performing Arts Center since September 07.
I have one student, so far. She plays Alto Saxophone, has a very busy performance schedule and is learning to improvise.

Studio Contruction
Our home was built in 1908, at some point a one story addition was added. This appeared to be an ideal music room. Unfortunately the room was built over a open earth crawl space and over the years the structure was damaged by water. In July '08, I started the rebuilding process, the goal being to make a good music space, for playing and assessing music or sound design projects.
The design is reflective floor / absorptive ceiling with massive bass absorbing material. In July '09, Phase 1 was completed and I moved in. Next steps are to resolve the remaining parallel walls and to lower the noise floor. Initial audio tests are promising.
